Smart Port Community Lunch Meeting, Wednesday 18 February at 12.00 hours in T03-42
During the Smart Port lunch meeting of Tuesday February 18, Dr. Wouter Verheyen will give a presentation. Wouter works at the Rotterdam Institute for Shipping & Transport Law (RISTL), a research institute at the Erasmus School of Law. He graduated from the KU Leuven’s Faculty of Law in 2008. In the same year he became PhD-researcher and teaching assistant at the KU Leuven. The topic of his PhD research was the question whether the current legal framework offers legal certainty when parties choose to leave the mode of transportation open, as often is the case in contracts with parcel delivery services and freight integrators. The lunch lecture is related to his PhD research and entitled “Legal aspects of freight integration, the cases of Hinterland logistics and parcel distribution”.
