Italian award ‘best professor under 40’ for Stefano Tasselli
Dr Stefano Tasselli from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and ERIM Member received an ASFOR Award for Best Italian Professors Under 40 for his management research in an international context. The award, which recognises excellence in research and teaching by young Italian academics in higher education outside of Italy, was announced at the ASFOR Learning Lab for Leadership in Milan in October 2018.
Dr Tasselli is an associate professor in the Innovation Management group at RSM’s Department of Technology & Operations Management. His research and teaching activities study of the relationships between the psychological characteristics of the company actors (personality, motivation, perceptions) and their organisational social networks as well as the connections between social networks, knowledge generation and innovation and organisational theories. He was also recognised by Poets & Quants as one of the Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors earlier this year.
High-quality research and teaching
Dr Tasselli says he is particularly proud of this award for several reasons.
“This is an important recognition because of the high number of excellent Italian professors and researchers employed in Italy and abroad. It also signals the international outstanding quality of the work that I’m conducting with my colleagues at RSM,” he said. “So this is a further incentive to continue my personal and professional trajectory of high-quality research and teaching."
ASFOR Award for Best Italian Professors Under 40
The ASFOR Award for Best Italian Professors Under 40 was created in 2017, in memory of Gianluca Spina, former dean of the MIP Polytechnic Graduate School of Management in Milan who died in 2015. Spina was passionate and delivered valuable contributions to the enhancement of managerial training in Italy. This was the second time the award was handed out.
The award recognises excellence in an international context of young Italian teachers and researchers in the field of management education, for their activities in enhancing Italy’s cultural heritage. It honours pervasive export of knowledge at prestigious international institutions of higher education.
