Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability conference 2017
RSM will host the 9th Annual ARCS Research Conference (Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability), a prestigious network of scholars active in research on corporate sustainability, from 14 to 16 June 2017. The conference is co-sponsored by ERIM.
It is the first time that the ARCS conference is organized outside the US. The conference will bring together scholars from a variety of disciplinary and methodological perspectives interested in advancing research on corporate sustainability. ARCS is a consortium of universities and individuals, and serves as a professional society of scholars studying the interface between business and sustainability. ARCS provides data, tools, and networking opportunities to researchers who are developing a greater understanding of the opportunities and limits of policies and strategies to foster sustainable business.
RSM is committed to promoting corporate sustainability and high ethical standards in research, teaching, and service. We have faculty and staff members who dedicate themselves to embedding these issues into coursework and extracurricular activities. We want to ensure that our students understand and acknowledge that their managerial decisions profoundly affect society, and it is our ambition that our graduates will be equipped to make sustainable business decisions.
As part of ARCS’ mission to foster first-rate research and build the community of scholars in this domain, we hold an annual research conference designed to bring together scholars interested in corporate sustainability strategy and management. The inaugural conference was held in 2009, hosted by the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan. The conference rotates annually among ARCS members.
The organizers, Luca Berchicci, Steve Kennedy, Paolo Perego, and Frank Wijen, have compiled a strong programme.
