In his dissertation ‘Data-driven Warehouse Management in Global Supply Chains’, Thai Young Kim focuses on how to solve warehouse challenges in global supply chain management (SCM) that is characterized by large volume uncertainty, great responsiveness needs and complex order-fulfilment collaboration with other functionalities.
On Wednesday, the 20th of June 2018, Ting Li, Endowed Professor of Digital Business at Rotterdam School of Management, delivered her inaugural address entitled 'Digital Traces: Personalisation and Privacy'.
ERIM PhD Candidate Derck Koolen from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) won the Best Paper Award at the International Association for Energy Economics Conference in Groningen, the Netherlands on 10-13 June 2018. Dr Emilio Marti, assistant professor in the Business-Society Management department at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and ERIM Member, has won the best paper award of the German Academic Association for Business Research (Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft). Dr Marti received the award from Prof. Peter Walgenbach at the annual meeting of the association that took place in Magdeburg, Germany from 23-25 May 2018.

On Friday, the 25th of May 2018, Gui Liberali, Endowed Professor of Digital Marketing presented his inaugural address entitled 'Learning with a purpose: The balancing acts of machine learning and individuals in the digital society'.
After 2017 Erasmus University Rotterdam is also ranked first among European universities for supply chain management research in 2018. The ranking is based on aggregate research output over the past five years in supply chain management journals encompassed within the SCM Journal List. The list provides the 2018 Top 25 European rankings, as well as rankings based on two subsets of publications. A great result.
