Students who completed their bachelor internship this academic year evaluated Ilaria Orlandi as Best Academic Coach Bachelor Internship 2018-2019 at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). She guided students through their internship trajectory, including feedback on the research topic within the company and the internship report.

The NWO Vidi grant of up to 800.000 euros is awarded to excellent researchers who, after obtaining their doctorate, have conducted research successfully for a number of years. This grant enables Andreas Alfons to conduct his research for the coming five years.

In his dissertation ‘Optimizing the Performance of Robotic Mobile Fulfillment Systems’ Tim Lamballais Tessensohn studies the performance of robotic mobile fulfillment systems by solving decision problems related to warehouse design, inventory and resource allocation, and real-time operations.

In his dissertation ‘Essays on Factor Investing’ Georgi Kyosev focuses on the implications of factor investing for the efficiency of financial markets, the underlying drivers of factor premiums, the way factor investing strategies are implemented, and the added value for the end investors.

In his dissertation ‘Multi-objective Optimization Methods for Allocation and Prediction’ Qing Chuan Ye focuses on two different aspects of auctions and employs techniques and methods from both operations research and computer science.

In his dissertation ‘International stock markets: Essays on the determinants and consequences of financial market development’ José Albuquerque de Sousa discusses the determinants and consequences of financial market development in an international context.
