Pros and Cons of Open Science in Qualitative Research

Abstract

Four qualitative researchers will discuss the pros and cons of implementing Open Science practices in qualitative research. Questions like, can I share my data? Can my data be interpreted the same way as I did it? What is the value of sharing my qualitative research? Join this session on March 20th in the Q Building at 12:00, vegan lunch will be provided, as part of the Open and Responsible Science Campaign.

Dr. Anastasia Sergeeva, Dr. Sarahanne Field, PhD candidate Maria Carmer Punzi, and PhD candidate Daan Peeters will get together to discuss the pros and cons of implementing Open Science practices in qualitative research. The four of them are qualitative researchers and have questioned if Open Science can be implemented the same way as it has been implemented in quantitative research. Questions like "Can I share my data? Can my data be interpreted the same way as I did it? What is the value of sharing my qualitative research?" will be posed and discussed within the panel.
