Management Impact: The Influence of Upper Echelons
Abstract
Erasmus University Rotterdam will celebrate its 100th anniversary during the annual Dies Natalis on 8 November. The theme the University has chosen for its centennial year is: “100 Years Impact”. While the festivities will last all day, a very special session will be hosted exclusively by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) in De Doelen from 10:00 to 12:00. Your presence during this morning seminar will be highly appreciated.
During this session, entitled “Management Impact: The Influence of Upper Echelons”, RSM will honour the contributions of Professor Don Hambrick (Pennsylvania State University) to management thought. As one of the most impactful management theoreticians ever, Professor Don Hambrick will be bestowed an Honorary Doctorate by his Honorary Promoter Professor Pursey Heugens during the Dies afternoon programme.
Our morning session offers you a unique opportunity to interact with Don Hambrick, and to show your commitment to RSM through your active participation in the debate. Alongside Professor Don Hambrick, RSM professors Frank Hartmann, Pursey Heugens, Justin Jansen, Daan van Knippenberg, and Hans van Oosterhout will engage in lively discussion and interactive debate with the audience concerning the impact of top management teams on organisational strategy, control, and performance.
