Abstract

This SCALES seminar is co-organized with University of Groningen (Department of Innovation Management & Strategy – IM&S – at the Faculty of Economics and Business), the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), the European Council for Small Business in the Netherlands (ECSB) and the Dutch Academy of Research in Entrepreneurship (DARE).

About SCALES Seminars 

SCALES seminars are organized by Panteia/EIM in cooperation with ERIM, ECSB and DARE. The present SCALES seminar is organized in cooperation with the Department of Innovation management & Strategy atUniversityofGroningen. 

Together with universities and institutes in the Netherlands and abroad, Panteia/EIM carries out a long term research program on entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. This program is also known as SCALES (SCientific AnaLysis of Entrepreneurship and SMEs). This research program has created a unique, authoritative and publicly available knowledge base of the prevalence and performance of small and/or new enterprises, with a special focus on theNetherlands. SCALES Seminars are held twice a year. At these seminars ongoing research carried out as part of the research program, as well as related research, is presented. It is meant to stimulate dissemination of research results as well as academic debate and discussion.
