New Insights in the Relationship between Entrepreneurship and the Business Cycle

While the interplay between entrepreneurship and the level or growth of economic development has been intensively investigated that between entrepreneurship and the cycle has been neglected. Recently, the idea was advanced that next to the business cycle there is also an entrepreneurship cycle and that the entrepreneurship cycle precedes the business cycle. The scholarly community seems busy looking for stylized facts to support or to reject this idea. Today some novel work in this area will be presented.
