Emotional Intelligence: Recent Theoretical Advances and Research Findings

Abstract
| Emotional intelligence is one of the most popular new scientific concepts among both researchers and practitioners. In this presentation, I will (a) provide a brief history of research on emotional intelligence in psychology and organizational behavior, (b) describe studies on how emotional intelligence is related to performance, and (c) describe studies on how emotional intelligence is associated with prosocial and self-serving behavior. I will discuss the theoretical and practical implications of my research. |
