Speaker
Abstract
The capacity of the firms to share knowledge for performing profitable activities is increasingly seen as a vital source of competitive advantage in many industries. Rapid and effective tacit knowledge sharing positively affects organizational efficiency and new product development process performance. The present research analyses the impact of some intra-firm psychological, socio-organizational and technological knowledge transfer predictors in a big Fiat Auto’s first tier supplier of R&D. Results highlight that lack of codification, inter-functional separation, and KMS low quality are strong barriers of knowledge transfer. Due to the operating of these factors, knowledge sharing becomes ineffective and by consequent, it affects negatively new product development process. |
