| Dr. Jaap van Duijn |
| Van Duijn graduated cum laude in Economics at Erasmus University (1968) and obtained his PhD in Economics at the University of Illinois (1972). |
| |
| From 1972 until 1983 he was successively assistant professor, lector and professor in Economics at RSM's predecessor the Interfaculteit Bedrijfskunde/Graduate School of Management, Delft. Crown member SER (Social Economic Council) 1981-83. In 1983 he joined the management of the Robeco Group, where he was in charge of research and institutional capital management. From 1988 until 2003 he was Robeco's Chief Investment Officer and from 1995 fund manager of Holland's oldest and largest investment trust. At the age of 60 he resigned from Robeco's Board of Directors, but stayed as Chief Strategist until his retirement at the end of 2005. During his years with Robeco he was also part-time professor Practical aspects of the investment theory at respectively the University of Amsterdam and Erasmus University of Rotterdam (RSM). Van Duijn was also member of the 2007-2008 Delta Committee chaired by Cees Veerman. Additionally, he holds various positions in the fields of finance & investment, nature and environment, education and research. |

| Van Duijn has written many articles and books on economy and investments. Previously he was a columnist for NRC Handelsblad, Algemeen Dagblad and SAFE; since October 2005 he is a columnist for the Financiële Telegraaf. His most recent book ‘Trends en cycli -Waar liggen de kansen voor de belegger?' has been published earlier this autumn. |

| Dr. Mathijs van Dijk |
| Mathijs A. van Dijk is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He obtained an MSc in Econometrics (Cum Laude) from Erasmus University in 1996 and a PhD in Finance from Maastricht University in 2002. Van Dijk was a Visiting Scholar at the Fisher College of Business (Ohio State University) during the academic year 2005-2006 and at the Fuqua School of Business (Duke University) in January-April 2008. His research focuses on international finance and investments. He has published in various journals in financial economics, including the Financial Analyst Journal, the Journal of International Money and Finance, and the Review of Finance. Van Dijk has presented his work at numerous international conferences as well as during seminars at, among others, Dartmouth, Harvard, and INSEAD. In 2008 he received a €600,000 "Vidi"-grant from NWO (the Dutch National Science Foundation) for a five-year research program on liquidity black holes. |
