Alumni day: Centre for healthcare governance

On the 24^th of May, 2018, Erasmus Centrum voor Zorgbestuur hosted their annual alumni day in which two important things were scheduled. The first one was to discuss the recent and strategical relevant developments in the healthcare procurement. The second was less formal, but equally important: networking. During this year’s event, Gerrit Zalm, a former Dutch politician, was interviewed by Erik van Raaij. As a highly experienced economist and politician, he shared his thoughts on negotiation. His main message was that quick wins just lead to a one-time success, while its better to collaborate and put your cards on the table together with all the parties involved. According to him, honesty is the key factor of long term success in negotiations.
