Taavi studies the interaction between corporates' financial and tax planning policies internationally. His research focuses on measuring the real effects of legislation affecting the tax bases of businesses; and understanding the mechanisms for using debt and non-debt tax planning vehicles in response to such changes. His broad interests include the role of technological innovation and public policy in corporate finance and performance, corporate governance and agency problems, and valuation methods
