René de Koster celebrates anniversary with book
Professor René de Koster celebrates his twentieth anniversary at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Reason for the professor to publish a jubilee book on material handling.
"An informative and educational book about material handling." This is how René de Koster, professor of logistics and operations management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam describes his latest book ‘Past and Future perspectives on material handling’. The book was officially presented on 10th November 2015, at the Logistica Trade Fair. De Koster received the first copy of the book from the hands of Marno van Beek, scientific director at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
20 years
That De Koster got the first copy is not without reason, because De Koster also was the occasion of the conclusion of the book. Reason of the book is his twentieth anniversary at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Van Beek praised De Koster for his role as a reliable investigator who has an eye for the practical relevance. This is evident from the book that is manageable for everyone in logistics. The book contains articles on material handling he has written over the years. “The subject material handling still inspires me because it has huge impact on our daily lives. And we as The Netherlands are world top in this field.”
