Cargo Driven Distribution project started
Cargo Driven Distribution is a project sponsored by Dinalog, in which three universities (EUR, TU/e, TUD) and several companies (including MHF partner Nedcon) participate. It aims to investigate the possibilities and impact of reorganizing the contents of sea containers in combination with multi-modal transport at inland cross-dock terminals.
New automated cross-dock solutions, aimed at rapidly regrouping unit loads into transport loads, including temporary storage, will be investigated by researchers from Erasmus University. The project will run over a two year period (2013-2014). More information: rkoster@rsm.nl.
