Jelle de Vries defended his thesis on Behavior on Operations on 18 February 2016. Warehouse operations can achieve higher productivity, quality, more work safety, and higher job satisfaction. This can be induced by assigning the right people to the right job with the right incentives, and by prevention focused leaders.

At the opening day of the Logistica Fair, Tuesday 10 November 2015, Laurens Penners, master student at Eindhoven University of Technology won the 2014/2015 Material Handling Master thesis award.

Professor de Koster was presented with a commemorative Jubileumboek (anniversary book) documenting achievements and celebrating this milestone during a segment of the event Logistica 2015 in Jaarsbeurs Utrecht, 10 November 2015. The book, Past and Future: Perspectives on Material Handling marks the occasion of René de Koster’s 20 years full professorship at RSM.

Donderdag 3 september zijn de drie genomineerden bekend gemaakt voor de Logistica Award 2015. De vakprijs en publieksprijs van de award worden op de eerste dag van Logistica bekend gemaakt, op dinsdag 10 november 2015.

The Material Handling Forum and Stichting Logistica have taken the initiative to award the best thesis in the broad domain of material handling (intra logistics). The award will be presented at the upcoming Logistica Fair, on 10-13 November.
