A top-level hub for research on business management in health and life sciences
The Erasmus Centre for Business Management in Health and Life Sciences (ECHLS) is the newly established interdisciplinary centre of EUR/ERIM that aims to gather, elaborate, develop and integrate a vast body of knowledge on business management in the medical and life sciences fields; and to involve an inter-disciplinary group of Dutch and international research actors, companies, policy makers, and stakeholders across various settings and institutions to contribute to this field. Given the central impact of health, well- being and life sciences in the ‘2030 Strategy’ of Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as its central role in the ‘Dutch Global Health Strategy 2023-2030’ and of the ‘European Union Global Health Strategy,’ the new centre has the ambition to become a top-level international leader in promoting research, education and impact in the development and dissemination of knowledge and best practices in the management of health, biomedical and life sciences disciplines.
Stefano Tasselli has been named Academic Director, and Amir Omidvari Co- director of the initiative. In alignment with the EUR and ERIM research values, the centre will act as an “intellectual hub providing opportunities for investigation, discussion, collaboration, and experimentation around subjects with wide- ranging implications for markets, organizations, and society” to develop published research, community outreach, and partnerships among academics, industry, governments and international institutions.
