Deutschland und die Niederlande. Wirtschaftsbeziehungen im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert

Hein A.M. Klemann and Friso Wielenga

This 46th volume in the series Netherlands Studies from the Centre for Netherlands Studies at the Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität in Münster, is about Dutch-German economic relations in the nineteenth and twentieth century.

Economic relations between both countries experienced a period of tempestuous growth in the late nineteenth century, followed by several setbacks due to war and economic crisis in the first half of the twentieth century. After the Second World War Dutch-German economic relations reached unprecedented heights.

Next to chronological overviews of Dutch-German economic relations, this volume also contains several thematic contributions, such as the significance of the Rotterdam port for both countries and the history of Unilever in Germany.
