New issue of RMS Insight on "The World after Covid-19: How we can do business better"

Marius van Dijke edited an issue of RSM Insight on “The World after Covid-19: How we can do business better” In this edition of RSM Discovery magazine, a number of RSM scholars describe how we can learn from our response to the pandemic in order to organise societies so that they can become more resilient. They also indicate specific business developments and organisational forms that might be particularly beneficial in the aftermath. Marius also contributed with an article on “Justice enactment: why some managers treat employees fairly while others don’t”. In this contribution, acknowledge that in times of uncertainty, whether now or in the future, it is highly important for employees to be treated in a fair manner. The article describes a novel take on this topic: not focusing on employees as recipients of fairness, but instead describing factors that make it more likely that leaders actually enact fairness. It is my view that companies empathetically encouraging fairness and social justice will emerge in a better position in the post-pandemic world than those that do not.
